At St Christopher’s and Holy Saviour, we have a shared mission of ensuring that all within our parishes are welcomed and safeguarded from harm. This Risk Assessment Workshop is primarily aimed at ministry/group leaders and co-ordinators who are involved with the running of programs, events or activities that involve children, young people or vulnerable adults. This might include Children’s Ministry, Youth Group, Altar Servers, camps, visits to homes and events such as the parish festival, parish run family events or Christmas Luncheon and many more.
The session will be facilitated by our Regional Safeguarding Officer from the Archdiocese and will involve a general overview of risk assessment practices as well as practical and engaging workshop activities that will provide you with an opportunity to understand how to identify and manage the risks that might arise within your activity. It is likely to run for about 1.5hrs.
